baby boy nursery room details

Nursery Decor Details

We’re still waiting on blinds, a rocking chair that my parents are reupholstering for us, and a few other key items but even so, baby boy’s room has quickly become my favorite in the house.  His room prior was covered in rickety shelving which we tore down.  Simply removing the wall-to-ceiling shelving, stripping the granny wallpaper (and curtains!) and painting the room a nice bright coat of white (to match the rest of our home) has made the space feel so much bigger–and happier!

His light fixture went up yesterday and his bookshelves are now completely packed (thanks mostly to my mother-in-law who stocked us up with all of the childhood favorites!).  So while we wait for baby, and for the rest of his room to come together, I wanted to share some of my favorite decor details.

A collection of striped baskets around the room for dirty clothes, toys, blankets… and whatever else I discover baby needs along the way (?).  I received the black one at my shower and loved them so much I went back for more myself.  (I bought them locally at Design Alchemy).

Baby clothes get me every time.

I didn’t register for a specific theme but happened to receive this mobile and a number of lamb items coincidentally at my shower, and find it to be just the sweetest.  My favorite pieces are from Petit Pehr and Aden + Anais.

Stuffed friends!  I just love this elephant (also love piggy too) from my girlfriend’s adorable online shop: Bitte.

And our mini vintage chair find that we picked up on this trip south over the summer.
