I’ve long been a product-junkie when it comes to beauty. Funny because I prefer to wear as little makeup as possible, but I love testing new creams, oils, lip glosses, and face masks. And have I told you I’m a sucker for packaging? We all know beauty products have the prettiest packaging. I don’t always share my latest beauty finds on the blog but I’ve been loving these so much that I thought they were share worthy.
For starters, I don’t know if it’s moving back to California and adopting a healthier lifestyle (more water, more sleep, less alcohol)… but my nightly beauty routine has greatly improved as well. I’ve been a fan of face oils for some time but switched over to washing my face with a precleanse oil as well (forgot to photograph that one but definitely worth noting as I swear my face has never been this clean!). I have been using Dermalogica but would love to hear if you have any others you recommend?
Following that lovely precleanse step (in which you can see the makeup literally drip off!) I’ve been using Tata Harper’s Regenerating Cleanser. The best light scrub ever! I actually left my first bottle in a hotel room recently and had a mini panic attack (you would have thought I had left my Celine–nope just my favorite face scrub). I’ve fallen for all of Tata Harper’s (completely natural) products this summer.
After cleansing, I switch it up with my moisturizers, oils, and serums… testing new products often. Current favorites: Colbert MD Face Oil (a lighweight oil that absorbs quickly leaving skin moisturized and non-greasy–bonus apparently Angelia Jolie is a fan, and don’t we all wish we had her skin?), Clinique Smart Serum, and Tata Harper’s Rejuvenating Serum.
Lastly no beauty routine feels complete without a signature scent. J.Crew sent over these beautiful perfumes–a collaboration with Arquiste founder Carlos Hubor. These exclusive fragrances were inspired by “the party of the decade” (how fun!)–you can read more about the story here. At first I was drawn to #31 which happened to be my high school field hockey number but also because it is lighter and floral–ideal for these lingering hot summer nights. But after some more spritzing I’ve since fallen for #57 as its oaky scent makes me crave cozy knits, and strong cocktails with my guy.
