BTS: On The Farm

22 May

The day this shoot took place was one of the warmest we’ve had yet. The poor girls were sweating. I was sweating. (I always seem to be sweating though… ) The horses weren’t having it (in fact we started with two but as you can see only one made the final cut, ha!). Oh aren’t behind the scenes fun to share? And you’re probably wondering who these cute models are? Well, as much as they look like models and they totally are in my eyes, they’re just some regular college gals I picked up over at UC Davis. Wink, wink. Or rather, smartie-pant seniors that will be graduating this June. Kelly originally reached out to me as a CITNB reader (so sweet!) and I fell for her bubbly, and enthusiastic spirit. She reminds me of my college self as she’s a biology major seeking out a more creative path post-graduation too, and so it’s been fun to collaborate with her recently. Thanks again Kelly and Scarlett ~ you crazy photogenic babes you!

And here’s Stella! She really wasn’t into the idea of having her photo snapped… well not in the heat that is. (PS: How short do I look next to my “models”?)

I threw on the airiest top I could find before running out the door.

I’m Wearing:  Wilfred Shirt and Shorts from Aritzia.  Rag & Bone Hat.  Anine Bing Boots.  Gabriela Artigas Bangle.

  • I know you’re petite, but can’t help but think you’re tall (maybe because I’m tall I think everyone is?! Weird.) but then seeing you next to the ‘models’ reaffirms it–so sweet. You look taller in your photos, when solo, I guess!! Hehe 🙂

Love that you shared these BTS photos and love coming here for my daily CITNB fix.

    • @Amanda ~ ha yes I’m a shorty! Can be deceiving when I’m along in photos… 😉

  • Adorable! They are very lovely ladies!!

  • Such fun and pretty photos. Loving all the bohemian looks

  • These photos make me want to escape the city for a few days. There’s this amazing sense of freedom that I get whenever I’m in the countryside. Being in big open fields always make me want to let loose – run around with the wind, be loud and silly if I feel like it. You can’t really do that in the city without looking like you’re insane.

  • Wow. These photos are really beautiful.
