Buxom Beauty: Summer Glow

After some boredom with my summer beauty routine I recently tested out a few new products from Buxom and created a simple summer evening look that achieves the perfect “summer glow.” I’m not one to wear a lot of eye shadow, or makeup in general, so this is just enough to step up my game yet not too complicated so I can be sure to recreate it with ease. You can follow the steps below to achieve a similar look for your next night out, and stay tuned for my complete date night look.

First things first: Buxom Show Some Skin Foundation (love that it’s spf 30–a must in my book!).

After applying a light layer of coverage, next I add a touch of bronzer  and illuminator (see below) for that “summer glow.” I like to try to look like I’m sun kissed even though I slather on the spf during on the day.

Also, although not pictured here, I tame (as much as possible) and darken my eyebrows with a medium brown pencil.

Next up, the step I usually skip but really does make such a difference if I take the time to apply: eyeshadow. I used the Buxom Tango palette (Rhythm for the lids and Dip for the crease). I love the shimmery look which is perfect for summer nights.

Now for my personal favorite: liner and mascara! I just added a touch of liner at the corner of my eyes and smudged it a bit with my finger for a less dramatic look.

Buxom has a pretty insane mascara assortment. You can choose your perfect brush from seven different brush options(!!) and match it to their volumizing formula. My personal favorite is leopard of course–Full & Fabulous.

And since I’ve been into neutral lip shades this summer I completed my look with Buxom Au Naturel Lip Stick.
