Cinco Babe (And Oh How Much Can Change in A Year)

There’s nothing like having a baby to really make you realize how much can change in one year.  Last Cinco de Mayo I experimented with jalapeño infused tequila and made spicy margaritas for my friends that were beyond hot.  It was an oops moment in which I should have had a girlfriend taste test for me before serving because I was actually ten weeks pregnant and not drinking.  (Take note my pregnant cocktail serving gfs!)  Since it was still so early and I hadn’t told many friends, it was also at this backyard Cinco party that I got a lot of: “wow Alicia you’re really feeling those margs!” because I was working the dance floor.  Ha!  Nope, I just love to dance.  I’ll dance anywhere, anytime.  Cocktail or no cocktail!  Now that May 5th has rolled around again it’s made me reflect on last year–my water with lime “margarita”–and my new little Cinco date.  I’m only bummed that I didn’t get my act together to plan another fiesta hang.  But heck, since I’m always up for tacos and a marg or beer I might just have to plan something for later in May or June as a summer kick off.  Until then, Rex is the one in true spirit over here as I’ve been dressing him in the cutest sombrero wearing chihuahuas (and cacti!) onesie all week long.
