French Pharmacy Faves

Before our trip I knew there was one spot I would definitely be shopping at–besides Isabel Marant–and that was the Pharmacie. I remember popping into a corner pharmacy in search of toothpaste on my last visit to Paris and feeling as if I had stepped straight into an unassuming beauty department store. I had no idea! As amazed as I was by the selection I was equally overwhelmed, and so prior to this trip I made sure to do my research. (I found these posts to be the most helpful in scouting out the best French beauty products: Into the Gloss, GOOP, and Vogue).

As our toiletries dwindled from a couple weeks of traveling, my mom, sister, and I all scooped up quite a few products to test and turned our hotel room into a mini spa on our final night. Pictured here are our favorite buys.

Pictured above ~ slathering our faces with green Vichy Normaderm an impressive 3-in-1 face mask, cleanser and scrub to combat the slight breakouts we’d been battling with. (Cheese always makes my sister and I breakout and it’s so hard to say no to diary in Europe.)

I wore very little makeup during our trip so Bioderma turned out to be the perfect gentle cleanser. I’m curious to try it out when I’m back home and see how it removes heavier eye makeup and mascara but as of now I’m impressed! And one of my favorite pharmacy buys: Nuxe multi-purpose dry oil. I’m such a fan of face and body oils as they’ve really helped my dry skin. And while I think Rodin* is still my favorite, I love that this one has a slight shimmer (not a cheesy glitter but gives a faint sun kissed glow). Plus, the bottle is so pretty that it makes for a fun gift!

Are there any French pharmacy finds that you’ve discovered and recommend?
