Beauty Simplified: Lilah B.

My makeup bag has quickly filled-up with the chicest white compacts and brushes–and since I’ve become such a fan, of course I had to share lilah b. with you. After more than a decade in the beauty industry on the consulting side, founder, Cheryl Yannotti Foland, has created a line based on her favorite philosophy: less, is more. With this simplified mind-set in mind, everything from the classic pigments and healthier ingredients down to the branding were thoroughly thought through. For those drawn to packaging as much as I am you will swoon over the innovative and über cool white and gold stone like palettes. Yet packaging aside, what I love most about the line is that barely there feel.

While the line may be minimal, all the classic shades you might want are here–making it easy to pair down your beauty bag. I find that I’m just reaching for 1 eye palette, and 1 lip and cheek duo on the regular. I’ve been mixing the brand with my other trusty beauty faves but coincidentally or not, my skin has been clearer than ever since pairing down. Another surprising point? My skin has a refreshed glow, something I didn’t realize could be achieved with powder. (Since I’m usually strictly a dewy liquids fan.)

Before–ready for my mini makeover (or rather, a make-under).

Not surprising–the all-white, on-brand office (their Sausalito view also makes for a nice touch). Also, take note of the largest fiddle leaf tree ever.

The tip I made sure to take note of, was to use the darkest shade from the b. stunning quad as liner. This brush is the key. Simply wet the brush and layer on as dramatic as desired.

Makeup Used | b. original on face using foundation brush.  b. stunning eye quad (darkest shade applied as liner).  b. true on cheeks and lips.  b. lovely mixed on lips as well (looks dark but isn’t as dark as it looks–also all shades are buildable).

Impressively, at only 8 months old, the young beauty start is already sold at some of my favorite retailers–including Net-a-Porter and Space NK (with a couple additional exciting launches to come).

Final result ~ a barely there, mascara free simplified everyday beauty look.
