One thing I really missed while living on the East Coast these past couple of years (and am consciously taking full advantage of these days) are more day and weekend trips. Not only did we not have a car while living in New York but I missed the proximity of everything in California. My family, Napa, Tahoe, and San Francisco are all within an hour or so from us now which means snowboarding in the morning, wine tasting in the afternoon, and visiting close friends and family all within the same day is all totally possible. I have yet to attempt that trifecta, but still–technically all possible!
After returning from our epic Grand Canyon tour, and taking time to explore our own city more this past weekend (including a trip to Marie’s Donuts, which are hands down the best in town and will probably become a first stop for us as we head out of town on our various adventures more often), my guy and I were inspired to put together a wish-list the places we’d like to venture to next. I mean, gotta make up for past time right?
Turns out, the 7 For All Mankind* team is just as much a fan of taking advantage of California’s pacific coast highway (there’s something seriously in the air around this time of year that makes you want to hit the open road and explore isn’t there?), as their latest Dreaming In Blue campaign was inspired by California’s bright blue oceans and warm desert sands. Their campaign felt so completely organic to me and not only was the timing of my recent road trip coincidental but my sense of California pride is currently at an all time high. Plus, denim is always the first item I throw into my suitcase when heading anywhere but especially when taking off on a road trip as I always want to be comfortable while traveling. Here I’m wearing this style which I pretty much lived in throughout the entire trip–from Marie’s Donuts to The Grand Canyon.
Where are you dreaming of escaping off to next?
