Holiday Glam

Growing up, when accompanying my mom on her weekly Target runs I would run off to either check out the latest CDs or browse the beauty aisle. Still to this day no trip to Target is complete without finding some new beauty or skincare find (that I didn’t even know I needed).

I was recently tipped off to take advantage of Target’s new Beauty Concierge which I think is pretty awesome of Target as it’s always nice to have a little direction when it comes to answering my product questions and to cut down on my time spent just hanging in the beauty aisles (as fun as that is). I’m always looking to try new products but since my skin is so sensitive and dry it was helpful to get some recommendations. I scooped up a few of their moisturizing suggestions as well as a few of my own discoveries to test out and recently played around with my new goodies at home creating a simple holiday glam look.

My top 2 product discoveries of the week–that were the key to this easy party-ready look? 1) Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm (ultra moisturizing and the Honey Nectar is such a pretty nude–ideal for both day and night), and 2) Sonia Kashuk crème blush. I’ve been using more creme blushes lately. During these cooler months the stains feel more moisturizing than powder and give my skin a more natural looking rose-y glow.

I’m constantly applying hand cream during these winter months–and especially try to remember before running out the door to a party where I might be shaking people’s hands! This is a great one (Beauty Concierge recommended) and I also found this one which has pretty packaging and is a good one to leave out in your bathroom for guests.
