Inside Everlane

When I graduated from college I, like most recent grads, had no idea what I wanted to do (I honestly still don’t–but it’s been a fun learning-experience-of-a ride!). I bounced around temping for a few various finance firms and it was at one such firm that I met Michael Preysman (now the current Founder and CEO of Everlane). For some reason I distinctly remember him mentioning that there was a need for an affordable, high-quality t-shirt in the marketplace. At 22 I really didn’t know what he was talking about but now, around 7 years later, it’s inspiring to see where he’s taken that foresight and dream.

The cool thing about Everlane is that they cut out the middleman, thus reducing the costs. The prices really just can’t be beat and the quality is definitely there. While my guy and I are both big fans of the basic tees (the weekender might be our second most used and loved Everlane item), it’s been exciting to watch the brand evolve beyond shirts.

Since moving back to Northern California this past year I’ve felt this new sense of pride and urge to really highlight what I think is cool (especially fashion-wise) in the area. Of course the fact that Everlane is based locally in San Francisco and since their space in the Mission is so bright, airy, and just a seemingly fun place to work, I knew I wanted to share a few photos here with you and to share their story.

Um, if you’re a loafer fan, I was pretty impressed with these (coming in early October)!

And you know I’m a silk blouse / sweatshirt girl–the new fall color palette is dreamy, and this boyfriend style sweatshirt has been a favorite of mine lately (especially on those foggy mornings in SF).
