Fresh Faced for Fall

I debuted my lighter, apricot infused locks for my entire family while in Napa last month for my cousin’s wedding. They’re always the true judges telling me exactly what they think of my rainbow of colors over the years. Much to my delight everyone was a fan of the lighter Emma Stone-inspired shade! My Nana, however, tipped me off on a beauty suggestion that has made the biggest difference of all in my appearance lately. She told me to lighten my brows and swap my black mascara for brown. Nanas know best–and what a difference these small beauty tweaks have made! Here’s a look at my fresh faced and minimal makeup style for fall.

First step was choosing a lighter colored brown eyebrow pencil. I went with Chanel #10 which is actually a color that blondes use. (So much more flattering than my previous darker shade, #40).

Secondly, while I don’t always wear eye shadow, incorporating a light shimmer and smokey green smudge in the crease has really made my eyes pop.

Final step and major fresh faced game changer: swapping the black mascara for brown (I prefer just a light coat of mascara as too much makes me feel like a clown)–and skipping bronzer in favor of a light pink blush.
