A Doctored Up Popcorn Recipe for Cozy Nights In

The month of January has been an equal mix of cozy days spent at home (in my sweats and fuzzy slippers–pregnant girl hibernation style if I’m being totally honest!) either: 1) in the kitchen on a baking kick and testing out new comforting winter recipes with Rex, 2) on the couch reading, or 3) tidying around the house a la Marie Kondo as the rest of you all seem to be up to as well.  So yes, January has treated me well.

With the Oscar nominations just announced, and because it’s my number one staple year round (but especially lately as it’s probably my number one pregnancy craving), I thought I’d share how I’ve been doctoring up my snack of choice: popcorn.  I’m a regular microwave,  light on the butter popcorn girl but every once in awhile something a bit fancier is fun to mix up for movie / Netflix binge-worthy nights.

Fave combination that has been hitting the spot  |  Drizzle of Cobram Estate Olive Oil and a sprinkling of Jacobsen Sea Salt + Rosemary Salt.  So addictive and cures my salty cravings every time!

By the way, this set of Jacobsen Salt Co. salts is a fun way to try new flavors and also makes for a great gift.

As far as the movies go, T and I have a date to head to the movies this weekend because I can’t even remember the last time we got to a movie in the theatre.  We haven’t even seen A Star is Born yet!

Since we’re not up on the latest Oscars nominated movies… I thought I’d share the cookbooks I’m pouring through right now as well as the book I can’t put down…

And since we’re clearly behind in the movie department, what movies or shows should we tune into next??!

I literally can’t wait for that 5 o’clock hour everyday when I head upstairs and slip on my sweats and Jenni Kayne slippers.  It’s probably my favorite time of the day, just Rex and I hanging at home cooking together, playing music and waiting for T to get home.  I’m forever setting that cozy stay at home vibe and have candles lit at all times around the house.  My go-to scent to burn this month has been Jo Malone London’s Myrrh & Tonka.  The scent of myrrh, almond, and a hint of vanilla is so comforting on a gray January day.
