Chin Chin 2015

If there’s one thing 2014 taught me, it’s that so much can change (and happen) in one year. I’ve embraced my new city, discovered a few of my favorite eats and a gem of a vintage store. We celebrated my guy’s big 3-0, I became obsessed with floral arranging, and discovered my love for all things home decor related. I consulted for a couple of start-ups in San Francisco, designed, opened and am now the buyer for a women’s boutique in my hometown: SYLLABUS (um, what? Something I definitely did not see coming–oh and the icing on the cake?–held a Pop-Up version of SYLLABUS in SF). My week’s are now split between Chico (at SYLLABUS) and Sacramento working from home. I’ve enjoyed sprucing up our loft and have spent more time with my family than I have in years (thanks to the many nights spent in my hometown). So with all of that said… I’m so thankful for an incredible 2014 and look forward to what 2015 will bring. And of course, as always, thank you thank you for continuing to support me and follow my journey! It means so much to me, and I wouldn’t be able to pursue my passions without your support.

This New Years Eve I wanted to host a girls dinner and invited a mix of inspiring and creative girls that I met this year.

The menu was simple–pomegranate champagne cocktails, family style cheese and meat platter and a homemade lemon chicken orzo pasta courtesy of my sister. And not pictured but for dessert: salted caramel ice cream, powdered sugar donut holes and a family friend’s delicious limonchello.

Cheers to a new year–and a much needed holiday refresh!
