Cocktails + Crostini

Cocktails, crostini’s… girlfriends–yep, I’m there. I had so much fun being a part of Williams-Sonoma’s Open Kitchen holiday entertaining feature (the catalog should be out this next week) and I hope these recipes inspire your holiday entertaining! Cocktail enthusiast, Ashley Rose Conway hosted a holiday happy hour for a few of us, serving up five yummy concoctions (Winter Sangria, Allspice Milk Punch, Fig New Fashioned, Ginger Royale, and Pomegranate in a Pear Tree) that have inspired me to make use of our new at-home bar this season. To pair with Ashley’s festive cocktail creations, Williams-Sonoma Test Kitchen cook Amanda Frederickson, made the most delicious crostini’s. (It really wasn’t fair that I was in charge of holding the platter of crostini’s during this shoot because my mouth was watering the entire time!). You can find all of the recipes here along with tips on throwing your own cocktails and crostini party–maybe your next girl’s brunch?

Pomegranate in a Pear Tree was my favorite. Also, bonus points for that name.

Amanda really sold me on the ease of crostini making when it comes to prepping hors-d’oevres for parties. I was impressed with her unique flavor combinations and she was so cute to say she “dreams in crostini’s!” You can find her top crostini making tips here. This combination is woah–so super yum.

Now that I’ve been cooking more I’ve been realizing how many kitchen gadgets I’m in need of. Adding all of the below to my holiday wish-list… like this ultimate set! and also, a champagne stopper. I always am so sad when I can’t save the bubbly.
