Freda Salvador

23 January

As mentioned earlier this week, I’ve been running off to San Francisco every chance I get and recently spent an afternoon debating my next boot purchase while chatting about SF eateries and the cuties working at Four Barrel coffee with Frēda Salvador designers, Megan Papay and Cristina Palomo-Nelson. I had originally heard about Frēda’s stylish (and crazy comfortable) footwear at ELLE, but it was their playfully eclectic showroom (that they designed and styled themselves!) located on Union Street that really lured me in. After trying on their boots and learning more about the ladies behind the brand (über cool!) I knew I had to feature Frēda Salvador here. Between the store vibe and the mix of luxurious leathers, calf-hair and edgy details, I was in heaven. Now I’m just torn–which pair to choose for spring? (I’m thinking these might be pretty perfect with my skinnys and boyfriend jeans.)

Favorite part about designing?

Everyday is different, it never gets stale.

Let’s chat coffee and food:

Coffee: Blue Bottle, Four Barrel, Wrecking Ball, Marla’s Bakery

Eats: Umami for sushi and Pane E Vino for pasta (both right down the street), Mamacita, Don Pistos, Coqueta

How would you describe your style?

Megan (left): Color or sparkle (laughs), mixed prints, bohemian. I like to get creative with what I have.

Cristina (right): Blazers, neutrals, tailored. White tee with jewels, oh and boots year round!

Sizing runs from 5 – 11 (awesome for me because I learned that I wear a size 5 in their boots). Tip: size down a half size.
