Living Room Refresh

I’m so thrilled with how our living room refresh has been coming along! If you’ve been following on Instagram, I’ve been sharing part of the process of this redesign in my stories here and there (shared this art swap last week). I’ve been working with Lulu & Georgia and I can’t tell you how happy I am with the transformation so far. It’s the first room you see when you walk in our house and also the room I use as an office, so it’s a room that I’ve been wanting to give some love for a while now. Our furniture was a mix of pieces we have owned from previous apartments and family members so it never felt like it all quite worked. I also hadn’t quite pin-pointed what I wanted to do with this room but after finally making some changes and moving things around it’s proving to be just the breath of fresh air I was hoping for!

I received so many questions over on Instagram about certain pieces that I thought it might be easy to have all the items linked here, all in one place. We’re waiting on a few more pieces–including these chairs (love!) but here’s where we’re at at the moment. I can’t wait to share the rest of room with you!

Last week we swapped our gallery wall out for this larger painting. I had been on the hunt for a minimal larger piece of art for a while and when I found this Rina piece (it’s canvas with a wood border) it was perfect–just the colors I had been looking for. I find that personally get tired of a lot of color which is why I like to keep our color palette whites, blacks and woods / neutrals. Then I can swap out art or pillows and accents for color as I’m inspired.

I also can’t rave about this coffee table enough if you’re looking for a kid-friendly option. It’s super sturdy and heavy so they can’t topple it over and has a great shape to it. It’s also low so it’s the perfect height for little ones to pull themselves up to.
