Spring Loft Refresh

I’ve made a few swaps around the apartment over the past couple of months in anticipation of spring and it’s amazing how truly refreshed our loft now feels. I switched our patterned and darker colored rug for this clay jute style which made the biggest difference and really brightened up the room. I also picked up a couple of light colored floor pillows that I found on sale at Calypso St. Barth and a new fluffy desk chair throw as my white Ikea one had seen better days. (Still on the hunt for this cool shag but this gray is equally as awesome and makes me so happy.)

I tend to purchase home decor on a whim (probably not smart)–bringing pieces home slyly as if my husband won’t notice (he always does). Like clothing, I try not to over think it. If I love it I know I will make it work–like our vintage lockers and file cabinet which really make the room, and my more recent Moroccan blanket purchase that I brought back with me from New York last month.

The accent table is a Target score (also love this one), oh and how about my poor cacti (that I think are dying)? At least the air plant is still kicking it in it’s cool terrarium.
