October Edit.

Our apartment is currently torn apart–half-filled with moving boxes, half-filled with a mess of items that need to be placed in said moving boxes. Purging, simplifying, and editing has been the theme over here for the past couple months but even more so lately in preparation for our upcoming move. There’s something so refreshing about moving and I’m looking forward to that clean slate and a new chapter. I also recently turned 30 which I think has added to the fact that I’m craving clean slates all around this month–in everything from decor, personal style, beauty and my daily routines.

Here’s a glimpse at my October obsessions and edit… from bow blouses, afternoon espresso, a modern orange-red lip color (Nars Red Square), and not pictured but high on the obsessed list: my recent fall back into yoga (my inner hippie is way happy).

DENIM || These high-waisted babes suck everything in and have that cool vintage-like worn-in feel. I’m such a fan of AMO that I recently bought another pair of the Babes in a darker wash for fall thanks to Shopbop’s current Friends & Family Sale (use code: INTHEFAM25 for 25% off).

KNITS || Dear sweater weather, please come soon I want to wear all of these asap… especially turtlenecks.

BLACK CHLOÉ || Dreaming of my next bag purchase and wondering when that might be as most of my money is going to furniture.

ON DUTY x OFF DUTY || Recipe for easy yet killer fall style: just add snake print boots. And for those off days–Golden Goose for the win.

SUEDE MINI || Dreaming of everything suede but mainly this skirt. Not up for the splurge? Here’s another winner under $40.

JEWELED || I basically wear the same jewelry everyday. My Jennifer Fisher charm necklace, Hirotaka bar earrings, and a mix of Catbird rings… but recently added a new ring obsession into the daily mix from Jane Pope (I want her entire line!). Also craving a few more Hirotaka pieces… because yeah, they’re all so good. Add them to that Xmas list.

BEAUTY || I recently gave my skincare routine an overhaul after battling some serious breakouts and it’s amazing what pairing back to just the simplest of routines will do. My face has been thanking me for discovering these saviors as of late. This is seriously the best eye cream I’ve ever used… and also, I discovered the perfect modern orange-red lip color: Nars Red Square (seen here).

HALLOWEEN || I was asked to write this article on decorating for Halloween but honestly, with the move, black candles is all the Halloween spirit we will be doing this year.
