10 Things | 11.16 Holiday Style Edition

Gosh I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking about holiday dressing, and shopping… and that Thanksgiving is next week!!!    In preparation for some holiday gift guide posts and events I have coming up of course I wanted to throw together a quick round-up of pieces catching my eye right now from across the web.  Half holiday style edition and what I’d love to wear all this next month, half holiday wish-list (maybe Santa is reading, wink wink!).

1/2. I’ve been wanting to streamline my closet… like a major edit, and have been drawn to so many simple cuts and quality basics this season.  Jenni Kayne is topping my list and I can’t get these sweaters out of my mind (I want them both in the oatmeal and black).

3/4. Something that sparkles for New Years Eve!  Confession: I just ordered both of these dresses in hopes one might fit / work for a party we have coming up.  If it’s cold I’m thinking I might layer leather leggings underneath.

5. Speaking of leather leggings, I get a lot of questions about the pair I always wear (and have been wearing for years).  They’re Vince, and I just found them in suede.  The cut is super flattering, they’re a stretch leather, I love that you just pull them on, and they’re just so comfy.  Perfect for holiday parties and layering cozy sweaters on top.  An investment for sure but I’ve had mine for going on 6 or 7+ years, so if you’re someone who weighs cost per wear you can totally justify.  Linking some save and splurge options below.

6. Another Jenni Kayne item topping my holiday style wish list… this fun fur slide.  I’m picturing them paired with a simple all black look.  A skinny black pant and oversized black sweater.  Easy!

7/8. I think this is the prettiest coat!!… and I’m torn whether or not I love the vintage rose or laurel green color best?!  Both are so beautiful, and feel fresh for the season.  The perfect update to your winter wardrobe.

9. Oh the holiday bling!  I’m loving this trend to wear bedazzled earrings right now and there are so many fun affordable options out there.  Even Zara has some good ones.  Just picking up a new pair of earrings will make your trusty LBD feel special again for the party season ahead.

10.  I’ve been ditching the heels, and will continue to be ditching the heels this party season in favor of flats and boots.  This is the pair I’ve been living in (thanks to my mom who gave me her’s because she said she knew I’d get more use out of them–what?! thank you mom!!).  And this is the pair also on my wish list to wear all season long.
