I entered March on a relaxed note, coming back from a weekend away with Tanner sans Rex and Willow (which was so nice!). We actually lucked out with two weekends away from the kids during the month of February which is a rarity for us, so we did not take that for granted. I’ve been easing into spring mode with house projects, yard projects and adventuring in mind. Hope you’re getting some sunshine your way soon as well. xx
Living Room Makeover
A major highlight this week was choosing a few new pieces for our living room. I can’t wait to give this room a design makeover in the coming weeks and am especially excited about these chairs from Lulu & Georgia.
Jenni Kayne Spring Faves
You know Jenni Kayne basics has long been one of the foundations of my closet. My top picks from the brand for spring would be the cashmere cocoon cardigan (I own it in grey and want both the oatmeal and white colors–it’s that good!). I’ve been living is the Cotton Fisherman Sweater, and they just came out with more color-ways. Another chic spring essential topping my list is their slip dress or slip skirt in blush. So pretty for upcoming wedding season / any showers. And lastly, these were my go-to dressier sandal last year that I just pulled back out and I’m loving this newer pair, the shearling slide. Rex keeps bringing home colds from preschool and passing them onto Willow which I’m sure most of you can relate to. It’s been a rough flu season, and I know with the Coronavirus we’re all taking extra precautions. Lots of lemon water and citrus happening over here, and disinfecting like crazy. FridaBaby sent over this humidifier, and it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. It’s helped Willow so much that I just ordered another one for Rex’s room. (Also shared in my IG Stories the link to my baby essentials registry on Amazon–if it might be helpful.)
Coffee Table Book: Live Beautiful
I just ordered Athena Calderone’s new design book: Live Beautiful and can’t wait to get my hands on it. I love her eye for interiors and her homes are just gorgeous–I can’t wait to see the rest of the home tours in the book.
Everlane Perform Legging
Everlane came out with leggings, and they’re great. The price point is right ($58) and I love that they’re extra high-waisted and have one of those inside pockets in the waist band for my house key if I go on a walk. They’re made with recycled materials, and I’m loving them just as much as my Lululemon leggings.
Self-Gifting Fine Jewelry
It’s no secret I love the finer things in life and have expensive taste, ha. I like to treat myself and feel good about celebrating those milestones with special pieces that make you feel good. That’s why this quick read on self-gifting fine jewelry caught my attention. I’m all for it.
Spring / Summer Lounge Chair
Since it’s been warmer these past couple of weeks, I’ve started thinking ahead to spring / summer adventures. We’ve pulled back out our picnic blankets for a few backyard lunches, and I’ve added these Serena & Lily chairs back to the top of my wishlist.
