BTS: Styling Glitter Guide x ELUXE

Last Tuesday my guy and I arrived home from Mexico after an exhausting day of travel and sleepily climbed into bed around 1:30am. (In an Inn & Out animal-style-satisfyingly-good stupor I might add.) But when the alarm went off at 6am the next morning, guess who giddily sprang out of bed? Who, meAs cheesy as it sounds whenever I have a styling gig on the calendar it’s like the night before Christmas (or Disneyland!). Wednesday’s shoot was especially fun as it was great to collaborate again with the original Glitter Guide crew (Taylor, photography by Michelle and styling / location assistance from myself, and Caitlin). It doesn’t seem very long ago, and yet so much has happened since we were all together for the very first GG shoot 3 years ago–in my SF bedroom! Stay tuned for the full shoot on Glitter Guide soon, and their cute tee collaboration with eLUXE, but in the meantime here are a few behind-the-scene snaps.

We started the day off at Caitlin’s place (crazy decor inspiration), and later made our way over to the Marina hitting up the Lyon Street Steps, and the Palace of Fine Arts along the way. Ah, the Palace of Fine Arts will always be one of my favorites. It’s just so serene. We rounded out the afternoon with Blue Barn salads, a flower pick-up at The Bud Stop, and a quick stop in Paris–or er, Rose’s Cafe on Union Street (my fave!).

For Taylor’s looks, I wanted to keep them effortless, simple and true to her style while showing off the playful tees. Of course we made sure there was some sparkle in there in true GG fashion… oh and you may recognize this jacket?

For a day of styling I have to be comfortable. Boyfriend jeans are my go-to as well as shocker a slouchy top, and a leather jacket. It’s a uniform of sorts that always serves me well. Easy, effortless, and most importantly, comfortable. Ideal for a long car ride, and a day spent on my feet.
