Gift Guide | Last Minute Treat Yourself

Note-to-self: I’m never that great at keeping up with and posting timely gift guides… in all of my years of blogging you think I’d pull it together… ha.  Guess I’m a procrastinator when it comes to holiday gifting and thus in true form so are any of my wishlists.  All I really wanted for Christmas this year was a “date day” with myself in the city (San Francisco) and this was just granted to me thanks to my nanny, in-laws and husband for juggling Rex for the day to make it possible.  Highly recommend asking for a personal day for yourself from your loved ones too, especially for my mom friends out there.  Line up the babysitting and go.  It was just the best going about the city at my own leisure with no plans scheduled and hitting up all of my fave spots (btw, I avoid Union Square at all costs this time of year).  Tis the season to treat yourself!

Otherwise as far as gift-y material things go, I think I’m rather easy to shop for!  A glossy magazine, new cookbook, all-natural lipgloss, a new tea to try… I’m happy.  But my family tells me otherwise.  I’ve hinted at some of the items I’m crushing on this season in various recent blog posts and over on instagram, and the theme is overwhelmingly: ceramics, cozy sweaters, kitchen gadgets, fun footwear, and a guest room makeover (finally).  Perhaps some of these splurge items you may want to pick up for yourself or send this post over to your procrastinator Santa Claus.  Oh and Santa, when in doubt, give the gift of a choose-your-own-adventure trip!  Always a sure win.

So my list looks something like this… Dear Santa:

Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Trip.  (I’m actually cashing in last year’s Xmas gift and we’re going in January!!!).

Ceramics!  Specifically bowls to complete my collection from Sarah Kersten in Berkley.

Kitchen gadgets and cookbooks.  A new tea pot and upgrading our measuring cups would be nice too!

A classic black bag.  (Honestly I haven’t been into a bag in a while and have been carrying my brown Mansur Gavriel bucket bag the most lately–they wear so well)… also crushing on it in black and this simple saddle bag from Jenni Kayne.

New bedding for our guest room from Parachute Home.  (While we’re at it, a new headboard too.  Oh and a cool vintage rug for my side of the bed in our room… k now I’m just getting carried away!)

All natural beauty–faves include: True Botanicals, Earth Tu Face, Ilia.
