Paree Style

Bonjour from Paris! We got up bright and early yesterday morning and drove out into the country to visit Monet’s gardens. The quaint and picturesque town, Giverny, was well worth the hour drive in itself and touring the artist’s garden I felt as if I had stepped directly into one of his paintings. For the occasion I wore this little white fit and flare dress and a classic style trench (both from the GAP*). After spending the first couple of days here in denim, it was nice to slip into a dress once the sun came out.

Back in the city ~ I spent the rest of the day prancing around sans the trench and it actually felt like summer here! This dress (bonus ~ it has pockets!) with it’s knee grazing length felt quite Parisian and appropriate for a leisurely afternoon spent at the Louvre.

Looks like the next few days will be warming up as well so this dress might be getting some more wear.

* I might be in Paris but for those in the US–ELLE.com (my old team!) is hosting a kick off to summer style event at the North State Street GAP location in Chicago this evening from 6-8pm. For more information on the GAP events and to rsvp, click here

Thank you to GAP for collaborating on this post!
