The holidays call for standout pieces, and I was so giddy to score two very special pieces perfect for the season recently from Luisa Via Roma (another e-shopping danger zone of mine). I love the sites’ unique edit–they also have a pretty rad and lust-worthy home section–and often find myself discovering new, often edgier ways of styling my favorite designers.
First things first, this top. Self-Portrait has become that designer I look to for unique separates riding that fine line between sweet and sexy. I am also dying over this skirt for a head-to-toe look, and this dress (major holiday swoon!). For more of a casual holiday look I gave the feminine top an edge by pairing it with leather.
Tip: Incorporating leather into holiday looks is my favorite unexpected styling secret. When you know everyone else will be dressed in LBD’s–opt for pants of the leather variety to stand out. They’re a much cooler option than simple black skinny’s–and you can dress them up with pumps and chic accessories.
My second find: the ideal holiday coat. How awesome is this pattern? Definitely takes things up a notch for the everyday but is the ideal party topper.
